Tell us a little about your nominee and why you think they deserve to be one of the first recipients of American Legacy's Heritage Awards. Nominations should be in the form of a 200-word essay about the nominee and their service, passion, and dedication to the preserving African-American history and culture.

Awardees in each category will be featured in American Legacy’s African-American Heritage Awards of Excellence section in the Summer 2010* issue and honored at a special reception and awards ceremony to be held in New York City.
